SHELLIE ENTEEN, BA, LMBT
Shellie is passionate about education and holistic health. She received her BA in English and Fine Arts at NYU and later studied massage at the Swedish Institute in NYC. Shellie moved to south Florida in 1987 where she worked at the Boca Raton Resort and Club, had a busy private practice and began teaching NCBTMB approved Continuing Education Classes in Aromatherapy and the Aromatherapy Full Body Technique both in the US and abroad.
She became a Regional Director and later, Board Member of the National Association for Holistic Aromatherapy. Shellie writes the ongoing column "The Aromatic Message" in Massage Today magazine.Other articles have appeared in local magazines and The Aromatherapy Journal. Shellie received certification in Jin Shin Jyutsu physio-philosophy in 2003. Combining a love of Oriental Medicine with Aromatherapy, she lectured on "Aromatic Jin Shin Jyutsu" at the 2004 Norfolk "World of Aromatherapy" NAHA Conference, a conference that she also helped organize and promote. After moving to Greenville, SC in 2005, Shellie began teaching in the massage department at Greenville Technical College. In 2007, she wrote the curriculum and taught the first Professional Level Aromatherapy course given at Greenville Tech., one of three Aromatherapy courses currently available in a college setting in the U.S. This course follows NAHA guidelines and prepares students to sit for the Registered Aromatherapist exam or become a Professional Member of NAHA.
Shellie also teaches private classes in Aromatherapy, Bach Flower Remedies and Jin Shin Jyutsu self-help techniques and has had her own company, "Aroma Magic" providing quality essential oils and blends since 1997 (www.astralessence.com).
